Therapy can help people to better understand each other and to strengthen their relationships. I work with couples dealing with difficult situations such as communication issues, power struggles, sexual problems, infidelity, chronic illness, and financial issues.
For couples from different cultural backgrounds, I focus on exploring beliefs, differences, expectations, early attachments, and circumstances that not only affect their own relationship, but also their relationship with their families.
Through therapy, couples can gain a better understanding of their conflicts, improve communication, and establish new ways of developing their closeness and connection. This approach will help prevent the emergence of repetitive, unhealthy patterns in their relationship. By focusing on finding areas of connection and attachment, couples strive to heal and repair their bond. I work on helping the couple find and connect with the feeling that brought them together in the first place, then help the couple build on that.
